Nicholas A. Hofer, M.Ed.
Prior to founding ConfidentLearners, LLC, Mr. Hofer was a mathematics teacher at Trinity-Pawling School, an independent boarding and day school in Pawling, New York. Trinity-Pawling School serves grades 7 through 12, including Post Graduate. Mr. Hofer taught Algebra I through Pre-calculus courses, and also was a soccer and lacrosse coach as well as a dormitory master.
Prior to Trinity-Pawling School, Mr. Hofer was a Treasury Officer for a private bank. Mr. Hofer performed modeling and projections of the Bank’s balance sheet, recommending a course of action on issues of capital adequacy, funding, and net interest income.
Mr. Hofer earned his BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Vermont and his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University. He is a founding board member of Phoenix Charter Academy, a charter school serving ages 15-21 in Chelsea, Lynn and Revere, and is an assistant boy’s lacrosse coach for Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. Mr. Hofer has been an active tutor for the past six years, having worked as a mathematics and SAT review tutor for Sylvan Learning Center.
